[en] The neighbourhood of the Barceloneta is located by the old fishing port of Barcelona. Regardless of the streams of tourists that circle the edges of the neighbourhood, the Barceloneta is fiercely independent and has very strong self-organised neighbourhood associations. They keep the old heart of the neighbourhood alive despite the heavy flow of tourism, tourist capital and the conversion of the old fishing port into a luxury yachting marina. This video shows a protest and protest song calling for the Port to be saved, and – in the face of austerity cuts after the 2008 financial crisis – calling for “Cut to Millionares” instead.
