“Que Retallin Als Milionaris!” – Salvem el Port Vell mani i cançó [cat]

[Barceloneta 14 Abril 2012]

Letras de la cançó “En El Puerto de Mi Barrio” en continuació.

[en] Self-organised neighbourhood associations in the Barceloneta fight for the Old Port of the Barceloneta, countering it’s conversion into a luxury marina.

[en] The neighbourhood of the Barceloneta is located by the old fishing port of Barcelona. Regardless of the streams of tourists that circle the edges of the neighbourhood, the Barceloneta is fiercely independent and has very strong self-organised neighbourhood associations. They keep the old heart of the neighbourhood alive despite the heavy flow of tourism, tourist capital and the conversion of the old fishing port into a luxury yachting marina. This video shows a protest and protest song calling for the Port to be saved, and – in the face of austerity cuts after the 2008 financial crisis – calling for “Cut to Millionares” instead.

[cat] Letras de la cançó “En El Puerto de Mi Barrio”:

En el puerto de mi barrio
dijo el mafioso al Cambra (bis)
“este puerto será mío
y a mí me enriquecirá”
este barrio es el nuestro
y esta ciudad de vecinos
la construimos desde abajo
y la venden desde arriba.

Pero dime, Toni Vives,
si este puerto no es de Barna
¿a quién se lo adjudicas
para hacer el negociete?
Desde la barceloneta,
y con toda Barcelona
lucharemos por el puerto,
lucharemos por el barrio
lucharemos por el puerto,
ganaremos a la mafia.
