A massive “bump” of an archive and new work is about to pop and this website is being born right now! Life obstacles, precarity and thoughts-not-ready have delayed this moment. So this website is somewhat overdue and bursting at the seams, but better late than never 🙂

So….. What is a Media Doula?

A doula is someone who accompanies and facilitates a pregnant person to give birth. A doula is not a medical profesional and a doula does not take over from the person giving birth either. But a doula is there throughout the birth, and can translate and mediate communication between everybody. A doula is a catalyst. A doula connects with the mind and body’s inner knowledge that knows how to give birth.

A media doula is someone who accompanies and facilitates messages and expression to come out. A media doula does not have to be a media or technical professional, and does not take over from the person who has something to say or express. But a media doula is present as the expression evolves, and can translate and mediate knowledge and action. A media doula is a catalyst. A media doula connects with the mind and body’s inner knowledge that knows how to express itself.

A media doula can simply be a reader.
